Apicoectomy Instructions

Take medication for pain as needed.

If an antibiotic such as penicillin is prescribed, it is to be taken until the gone.

Starting the day after surgery, rinse your mouth with warm salt water after meals and at bedtime
(One teaspoon of salt to a glass of water).

You may brush your teeth excluding the treated area.

Eat whatever foods you desire

Do not pull back lip to look at the incision.

Expect swelling and possibly facial discoloration for three to six days.
